Footer SEO = Higher Rankings
One way to get your keywords and main landing pages on every page of your site is to have a well-designed SEO footer. Instead of explaining the details, here is an example of a site we optimized called GenealogyHelps.com. First things first, right down the pages and keywords that you would like to rank.
In this case we wanted to promote the site as a “Family History & Genealogy Company” so we place that prior to our keywords. The next step was to have three main keywords we wanted to place in the footer (try to keep the maximum to two or three):
- Family Sites (http://www.genealogyhelps.com/family-sites.html)
- Find Ancestors (http://www.genealogyhelps.com/free-genealogy-sites.html)
- Professional Genealogist (http://www.genealogyhelps.com/free-professional-genealogist-help.html)

Now every page developed for GenealogyHelps.com, the search engines will take note that those keywords must be the most important keywords on our website.
