SEO Basics

Being an SEO Guru, I get asked a bit… “What can I do to optimize my site”, and I always answer these top three. Now don’t get me wrong there are many, many, many more, but if you start with these three you can’t go wrong.

  1. Rich Content. This is my number one and it is for many reasons. If you know your industry, share that info. As you do, people will come to your site more and more. They will stay longer and longer. And you will begin to build a great brand and reputation.
  2. Keywords. The best way to start your keyword list is to ask yourself this question, “What would I need to type into a search engine in order to find my product/service.
  3. Linking. In the world of search engine, popularity can be king. So the more people that not only use your site but also link to it, shows the search engines that they aren’t the only ones that like your site too.
